Let’s see what brought the sparkle this week!

GUESS WHO’S GOING TO SEE QUEEN!!! Last weekend, Pops presented me with his credit card and instructions to buy tickets. DON’T MIND IF I DO! I wish it were full Queen, but seeing as that’s impossible, half of Queen will certainly do. I’ve been back on a Queen kick recently too, so this is perfect timing! I can’t believe I was never more into them pre-BoRhap. I mean, they’ve got everything you could ask for: pretty, cutesy love songs, songs to psych you up to rip an elephant in half, disco dance party songs…. 🕺

On Sunday, I had a belated National Ice Cream Day celebration with my lovely adopted family (Kristin’s) while she got some reiki.

Then, her sister ended up doing reiki on me, which was a wild experience, as always! (Like, she’d be working on my head, and I’d feel it in my hands nbd.) The biggest fan of the reiki, though, was Sharkey the cat, who soaked it up and promptly passed out under the bed for a good long while!

I mixed things up this week and actually went TO THE MALL on Thursday night! How wild! Who even am I?! I went to Lush because I needed more of Let the Good Times Roll (I ended up falling in love with it after getting that sample in June), but I also wanted to try a body lotion, so I picked up Sleepy, which feels very luxurious annnd makes me basically smell like Lush, haha!

Music is such a huge part of my life, and my self-care, that it inspired me to focus on music instead of just documenting my OOTDs this August. So I took pics in some of my fave band/concert tees! I started working on this in July, so it’s already been a really fun creative outlet for me! If you want to join in, please do!! Welcome to #SparklePunchMusicMonth ! Instead of documenting my daily outfits, as I have for the past four Augusts, I’m going to be posting pics of my fave concert/band tees because music is a HUGELY helpful part of my self-care. It boosts my mood, it calms me down, and it just speaks to my soul. 💕 . . Let’s start out with the Rocketman himself, @eltonjohn ! Elton was actually Pops’s first concert ever, and now I’ve seen him twice myself! He puts on a damn good show! Elton was someone I really enjoyed when I first started getting into classic rock in seventh grade (“Someone Saved My Life Tonight” was my JAM—which might explain a lot... 😂😬), and that love has only gotten stronger over the years!
